BOB'S AFRICAN CHARDONNAY Bob’s love and respect of Burgundy, the region of France known to produce the world’s best Chardonnay, ignited his interest to make Chardonnay in South Africa. Unique to the 2007 vintage, Bob blended 15% American oak matured Chardonnay, with 85% unoaked Chardonnay. The oak gives the wine structure. The structure frames crisp, yet balanced acids and gives this wine a backbone. This 2007 Chardonnay: “has aromas of Honeysuckle, and fresh Granny Smith apple, and finishes like peach flavored Crème Brûlée”.
